Rachel Kelly is a freelance writer and the winner of The Guardian's Home Cook of the Year Award. She draws inspiration from her childhood in Malaysia as well as what she can forage from garden. She is interested in the environment and issues around sustainability, which has encouraged her to cook seasonally, reduce food waste, as well as doing more with less, proving that frugal isn't always grim.
