Kate Minor wrote (19 August 2014 18:27)1) How long have you been blogging? I started my first blog four years ago when I moved to Japan. I got back to the US last summer and I started my second blog shortly after that. 2) What made you start your blog? Originally, it was to help stay connected to family and friends while living abroad. I also wanted to get better at writing and also develop my photography skills. 3) What is your most popular post? On my current blog, this is the most popular post: http://tezukuriliving.com/cosplay-kitchen-souffle-girl/4) What did *think* would be your most popular post but hardly gets any traffic? Hmm...I'm not on this one. I have been so busy with finishing a year of Americorps and then moving, so I have been neglecting my poor blog lately. :(5) What is your top tip for effective blogging? Be regular about posting! I visited Japan for two weeks back in May and fell in love with the place and culture. I would love to hear about your experiences, living in a place is so different from visiting. Is your old blog still up?CheersBachhttp://bachkins.blogspot.com

1) How long have you been blogging? since 20102) What made you start your blog? Originally I wanted to share my pup Kirby and talk about everything dog. Over time I discovered I love creating recipes for treats and meals so my blog has evolved into mostly a cookbook of sorts for pet parents.3) What is your most popular post? Share a link to the post. Most comments are on our FB Page but the one with the most comments to date is http://kirbythedorkie.com/blog/15-minutes-to-die The recipe most pinned (800+) on Pinterest is http://kirbythedorkie.com/blog/mighty-dog-mutt-balls4) What did *think* would be your most popular post but hardly gets any traffic? Lots actually! The ones I throw together get way more than the ones that take a lot of time and research.5) What is your top tip for effective blogging? I haven't a clue other than do what you love! Everytime I think of quitting I get an email or comment on FB that makes me keep going for that one person who responded with a thank you or even a question. Also good pictures are sooo important.

Yes, it is! You can find it at www.lifeinthelandoftheirsingsun.com. 😀Kate, I was just reading your post on fushimi Inari and I am now feeling really nostalgic! I was in Kyoto most of the time while I was in japan and we took the Shinkansen to Tokyo just for a day. But I truly fell in love with the stunning beauty of Fushimi Inari

Hi everyone,It was interesting to read your answers to the five questions. So now it's my turn.😀1) How long have you been blogging?I've been blogging for almost three years. It started with a regular food blog (in French) and then I made a second blog (French/English), a year ago, with gluten free and dairy free recipes.2) What made you start your blog?I started the second blog (gluten free, dairy free) after my then 15 y.o. daughter became sick with Crohn's disease. Instead of feeding her drugs for the rest of her life, we decided to follow a special diet (gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free) and it actually worked! She hasn't had another flare up and she's not taking any medication.😉3) What is your most popular post? Share a link to the postIt's my gluten free apple-millet pancakes. They're super moist and flavorful!http://2eat-or-not-2eat.blogspot.ca/2013/11/pancakes-pommes-millet-sans.html(Scroll down for English version)4) What did you *think* would be your most popular post but hardly gets any traffic? These two recipes I thought would be much more popular:Gluten free soft, fresh ginger cookies:http://2eat-or-not-2eat.blogspot.ca/2013/12/biscuits-moelleux-au-gingembre-frais.htmlAnd my gluten free buckwheat and blueberry pancakes:http://2eat-or-not-2eat.blogspot.ca/2014/05/gluten-free-buckwheat-and-blueberry.html5) What is your top tip for effective blogging?Well, I should follow my own advice, but I think it's essential to post regularly if you want your readers to look forward to your new posts. Also, you must love to do what you're blogging about. It's not enough to think you haven't posted in a while and to force yourself to make a recipe and take a picture. If you don't have a certain passion about it, your readers will see it and feel it.Thanks for reading me,Barbara😀

Hi all,1) How long have you been blogging?Over 10 years, have moved from blogspot, to multiply to live journal and various editions of wordpress before arriving at the latest version of wordpress!2) What made you start your blog?Having lived abroad the last 10 years and relocation every couple of years, it was a good way to keep in touch with friends and family back home... or those fellow nomads scattered all over the globe!3) What is your most popular post? Share a link to the postTop 10 local eats in Hong Kong!http://julianaloh.com/site/2014/02/hong-kong-top-10-local-eats/4) What did *think* would be your most popular post but hardly gets any traffic?Beijing's best Peking duck, it gets some traffic, but really not as much as I'd thought given that it's a big keyword search for people visiting the Chinese capital.http://julianaloh.com/site/2011/06/beijings-best-peking-duck-my-top-6-list/5) What is your top tip for effective blogging?Great photos. Humour and a personal touch - of which I'm still working on because my portfolio sits on the same site with my blog and sometimes I struggle with the personal/corporate balance, but am working to bring back the personal touch.
