I am a senior citizen who has worked all over the world and like to cook and consume most all kinds of foods, but especially Chinese and Indonesian, as well as most all South American cuisine, with an emphasis on Brazilian food, since I am married to a Brazilian. But lets not forget Italian and French. I am originally from Chester, Pa. and have lived in New York, NY before moving to Houston about 40 years ago. My fathers stepfather was Sicilian and as a boy I used to learn about Italian food while pushing the wine press in his basement around. Now as a Texan I make great Chili, barbecue and learned to make great gumbo from my cajun friends. I found this site looking for recipes for Lan Chi (Chili Paste), as over years it has disappeared from the Chinese stores here so I decided to make my own.
